BIFC Meeting

December 3, 2007
 

The December 3, 2007 meeting was called to order at 6:38 by Jim Cuddy. 

Attendees:  Kim Candee, Jim Cuddy, Madelyn & Patrick Duffy, Corrine Johnston, Tom Mitchell, Laura & William Palmer, Linda Procopio, Richelle Rumble, Michelle Turner, and Barb Twombly. 

Secretary’s Report:  Minutes of the October 1, 2007, Meeting were reviewed and accepted.  (Note:   Due to the end of season banquets, a November meeting was not held.) 

Treasurer’s ReportThe Treasurer was not present.  However, Jim Cuddy reported that there was approximately $x.xx in Checking and around $x.xx in Savings.  There are some expenses and receipts outstanding.

Motion
was made: “Due to the costs incurred to set up legalities of the Not-For-Profit status and Incorporation of the BIFC, we will not donate $1000 to a selected charity/ies for the 2007-2008 Year.”  Some discussion was held, and this Motion was passed. 

Coaches Report:  A Lap Top and TV were purchased this year for the Coaches.  Also, $x.xx was donated toward the Baseball/Lacrosse/Football shed, built behind Durgee.  A DVD is still needed.  This will be considered next season. 

Team Reps

7th Grade, 8th Grade, & freshmen: 
All monies have been turned in from the fundraisers. Some discussion was held about the behavior of some of the players at the banquet.  It has been strongly suggested that at the 2008 banquet, players should sit with their parents.  This topic was addressed last year, and has again appeared as a problem at this year’s banquet.  

Jr. Varsity & Varsity:  Banquet was held at the Fireside.  All monies are in. 

New Business: 

NoveltiesRichelle Rumble reported that all monies have been given to the Treasurer.  All items have been pretty much sold.  Some novelties will be returned to Nami’s.  Barb Twombly will assist in this.  Richelle will not chair this committee next season.   We are looking for a volunteer. 

Community Activity:  Fliers have been sent and the football players will get together to carol and collect toys for those less fortunate as follows: 

            Clinton Heights: December 6th           Baldwin Hill:  December 11th.

Baldwinsville Capital Project:  The proposed capital project, which included the major changes to the Athletic Complex, including restrooms, has been defeated. 

Officers for the 2008-2009 Year

Nominations were made, discussion held, and votes cast.  Results are as follows:

Thank yous were given to the 2007-2008 Officers for a job well done. 

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to chair Novelties, concessions stands, and handle purchase and delivery of Coke products for the concession stand. 

Meeting was adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
