The July 16, 2007 meeting was called to order at 7:45 by Jim Cuddy, at his home. Attendance: Laurie Elliott, Madelyn Duffy, Chris Hayden, Corinne Johnston, Linda Procopio, Barb Sobczak, Dawn Tanguay, Barb Twombley, Lee Verginio, Cindy Wilson, and John Yeshick. Secretary’s Report: Minutes for the June 4, 2007, meeting were reviewed and accepted. Treasurer’s Report: There is approximately $x.xx in the bank. There are outstanding bills. Some funds, ear-marked for BIFC Alumni, are coming in. Laurie will have a more concise report at the August meeting. Coaches Report: Players are working hard at preseason conditioning. Some concerns regarding pre-game dinners (night before) were brought up. This will be discussed further after more input from the coaches. Currently, all games are covered by various parents, offering their homes & hospitality to the Football Team. Team Reps:
Web Site: Madelyn Duffy will see that the appropriate bills are submitted. New Business: Can Drive will be monitored by each Team Rep, as appropriate. Golf Outing held June 30th was a success. Dinner was prepared by Varsity Gold’s Mike Dolson. ($8.50 per dinner x 100). The 2008 Golf Outing is scheduled for June 21st. Coach Hysick, Tournament Director, will send thank you notes to all sponsors. Not-for-Profit status paperwork is being processed. Walk-through Physicals for the Football Team will be held on August 9th, with season practice starting on August 13th. Programs need to be prepared for the 2007 season. Volunteers are needed to make phone calls and seek contributors. Lee Verginio said she would help. The team players pictures may be presented in shirt and tie due to time restraints. Novelty/Apparel Orders – We use Safe-At-Home Sports and Nami’s – trying to keep business in B-ville. Rochelle Rumble and Barb Twombley are doing a great job keeping track of things.
