The March 12, 2007, meeting was called to order @ 7:05 p.m. Attendance: Charlie Colligan, Jim Cuddy, Madelyn Duffy, Patrick Duffy, Brenda Ginter, Corinne Johnston, Linda Procopio, Barb Twombly and Lee Verginio. (Brief Attendance: Coach Hysick) Secretary’s Report: Minutes for the February 5, 2007, meeting were reviewed and accepted with the following revision: “Unity Day … possible borrowing from the Twomblys a “Jugs” machine (for football) to be used for this event. Minutes will be posted on the website pending approval at the following meeting. This will give everyone a chance to review them and keep the general membership informed as to what is discussed or will be discussed at the meetings. Treasurer’s Report: Report not presented – Treasurer not in attendance. Coaches Report: A report was not given. Coach Hysick, however, did make an appearance with regards to the planning of the upcoming Golf Tournament. New Business: The BIFC is still looking for Team Representatives at the lower (7th & 8th) grade levels. Web Page -- Pat Duffy reported that there are 3,500-3,800 hits a month with an increase to over 5000 hits a month during the September-October. Coach Sanfilippo has suggested some changes to the Web Site icon layout – This is being pursued. Pat will look into having drop-downs added. New Field Proposal – Mr. Quimby will be available to review this proposal with the BIFC sometime after March 19th (when he presents this to the School Board). Upon approval by the School Board this proposal will be up for vote in October, 2007. Coke Money: A $x.xx check has been received for deposit. Golf Tournament: Scheduled for June 30th at Foxfire. The Committee involved consists of Ron Hysick, Charlie Colligan, and Patrick Halpin. Tee-off time is 1:00. Goal is to have at least 20 four sums at $x.xx per player. More details to follow. Combine – Is scheduled for Sunday May 20th at 8:30 a.m. Need typists to input data. NFF Discs need to be purchased. The 2007 Budget was presented at the last meeting – A motion was made, discussed and approved to accept this budget as presented. Unity Day – The BIFC is looking into finalizing a date for this event – Possibly Thursday June 1st. Football schedule is out – There are only three home games this season – August 31, September 21, and October 5 (Homecoming). We are Section III AA2 Division. Coach Everson’s son passed away rather unexpectedly. It was moved, discussed and approved that $x.xx be donated to the Everson family to help cover costs, as his son did not have insurance. It was requested that $x.xx be given to the Coaches to absorb the cost of a price increase in warm-ups. It was moved, discussed and approved that $x.xx be given to the Coaches from the Coach’s Fund budget line. Scholarships application will be prepared and given to current Senior students for submittal. It will also be available thru the Web-site and Guidance Counselors. Big 30 Camp will be held June 25 thru 29th. Barb Twombly will get prices from bus companies for transportation. Details regarding the Big 30 Camp will be made available when finalized.
